The present invention aims to transdermally administer an active ingredient efficiently and easily. Specifically disclosed is a microneedle device (1) which comprises a microneedle substrate (2) and a microneedle (3) having a height of 300-500 μm, said microneedle (3) being formed on the substrate (2) and capable of piercing the skin. The surface of the microneedle (3) and/or at least a part of the upper surface of the microneedle substrate (2) is covered with a coating (5) that is formed from a coating material containing an active ingredient and a coating carrier, and the blending ratio of the active ingredient to the coating carrier is within the range from 10:0.1 to 1:10. |
