abstract A microporous polyolefin film which has excellent winding stability in a production line or processing line for the microporous polyolefin film and in a line involving the step of winding in cell fabrication.  The wound microporous film is less apt to slip and form an uneven edge face upon impact.nThe microporous polyolefin film has a compressive modulus of 0.1-1,000 kPa and a ratio of the machine-direction tensile modulus to the transverse-direction tensile modulus of 1.5-7.8.
