titleOfInvention Anti-cancer composition containing 4-hexylresorcinol-1,3-diol as active ingredient
abstract The present invention relates to an anti-cancer composition containing 4-hexylresorcinol-1,3-diol as an active ingredient. The active ingredient of the anti-cancer composition of the present invention, 4-hexylresorcinol-1,3-diol, suppresses proliferation of cancer cells and promotes apoptosis and differentiation of the cancer cells at cell level. As well, the 4-hexylresorcinol-1,3-diol suppresses tumor growth remarkably in a clinical trial on a xenografted animal model which is transplanted with cancer cells and a cancer patient. The anti-cancer composition of the present invention can be developed as a highly functional anti-cancer agent by having remarkable suppression activity for proliferation of various cancer cells.
