titleOfInvention Therapeutic agent for hypertension, method for treating hypertension, method for diagnosing hypertension, and method for screening therapeutic agent for hypertension
abstract Disclosed are a therapeutic agent for hypertension and others, which can be developed by studying a gene that is involved in circadian rhythm and causes hypertension. The therapeutic agent for hypertension comprises, as an active ingredient, the following specific substance: the specific substance can affect the expression of at least one gene selected from a first gene which is involved in the circadian rhythm in the adrenal cortex, a second gene which is affected by the behavior of the first gene and is involved in the production of adrenal cortex hormone, and a third gene which is involved in the signaling between the first gene and the second gene, or the specific substance can affect the activity of a product of the gene.  It is confirmed that a blood pressure changes when the specific substance is administered.  The therapeutic agent for hypertension can be screened utilizing a specific cell which contains the first gene, the second gene or the third gene.
