abstract The invention relates to a method for the hygienization of animal breeding premises, in particular pigs, that comprises processing liquids containing organic materials in suspension, such as effluents from a nitrification-denitrification biological processing plant, particularly preceded by centrifugation, characterised in that it comprises the steps of flocculation, coagulation, and settling during which the liquid effluent to be processed is subjected to a preliminary dilution, to the addition of lime, and to the addition of a ferric ion solution, after which a pasty phase and a strongly-basic liquid supernatant are recovered, and in that it comprises using at least partially said strongly-basic liquid thus obtained in order to flush animal dejections so as to ensure the hygienization of the environment in animal breeding premises.
