abstract | Provided is a method for producing an aqueous a-SF salt solution which has a good production suitability while maintaining a high fluidity. A method for producing an aqueous a-SF salt solution comprising using solid component (a) which is an a-sulfo fatty acid alkyl ester salt and component (b) which is an inorganic sodium salt and/or an inorganic potassium salt, and dissolving solid component (a) in water employed as a solvent while satisfying the following requirement (i) or (ii) at a temperature of 50oC or higher: (i): in the case where the concentration of the sum of sodium ion and potassium ion derived from component (b) is less than 0.55 mol/kg, the concentration of component (a) being 35 mass % or less; and (ii): in the case where the concentration of the sum of sodium ion and potassium ion derived from component (b) is 0.55 mol/kg or more and less than 1.8 mol/kg, the concentration of component (a) being 55 mass % or less. |
