The method for producing a hydroxypyrazine derivative represented by general formula (II) (wherein R1 is as defined above) is characterized in that a dihydropyrazinone derivative represented by general formula (III) (wherein R1 represents a halo(C1-C6)alkyl group) is dehydrogenated in the presence of an organic base. |
