abstract A zincate zinc plating bath capable of efficiently forming a zinc plating film, which has high gloss and high quality, even at low current density.  The zincate zinc plating bath is used for the purpose of forming a zinc plating film by depositing a metal containing at least zinc by electroplating, and contains a primary brightening agent having a function of reducing the size of crystals of a metal to be deposited, and a plating accelerator containing a heterocyclic compound having a specific structure, such as 2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazol.
