Optical film, polarizing plate and liquid crystal display device |
abstract |
Disclosed is an optical film having high heat resistance and remarkably improved brittleness, which maintains extremely excellent image display properties for a long time even when used in a high temperature environment. Also disclosed is a liquid crystal display device using the optical film. The optical film is characterized by containing (A) an acrylic resin and (B) a cellulose ester resin having a repeating unit represented by general formula (1) or (2). In the general formulae, A and B each represents a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1-12 carbon atoms or a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1-12 carbon atoms and substituted by a hydroxyl group. In this connection, A and B may be the same as or different from each other. |
