titleOfInvention Target presentation device, image display system, and vehicle-mounted display device
abstract A target presentation device is provided with a concave mirror (2), a half mirror (3), and a moving device (4).  The concave mirror (2) is provided in such a manner that the optical path between an image display device (1) and the concave mirror (2) becomes shorter than the focal distance of the concave mirror (2) in order to present a virtual image of an image displayed on the image display device (1) to an observer (P).  The half mirror (3) is provided obliquely with respect to an optical axis (Lx) of the concave mirror (2).  The optical axis (Lx) of the concave mirror (2) passes through the observation position of the observer (P).  The moving device (4) varies the optical path within a range shorter than the focal distance of the concave mirror (2) by moving the image display device (1).  At this time, the moving device (4) moves the image display device (1) in such a manner that the longer the optical path is, the more the moving speed of the virtual image is increased.  As a result, the fatigue of the focusing function of the observer (P) can be sufficiently reduced.
