abstract The present invention provides for therapeutic bioconjugates comprising a bioselective peptide conjugated to a low-adhesion moiety, that is capable of selectively targeting a ligand of inflammatory tissues. A particular embodiment provides for pharmaceutical composition including an ICAM-I -binding, anti-inflammatory peptide/dextran bioconjugate useful, for example, for limiting inflammatory cell adhesion in the eye. The pharmaceutical composition may be formulated in a topical or injectable medicament for the treatment of inflammation, particularly inflammation of the eye.
