abstract Disclosed is an optical film mainly composed of an acrylic resin and a cellulose ester resin.  The optical film is prevented from breakage due to conveyance stress during melt film formation, and does not cause light leakage when used in a polarizing plate.  Also disclosed is a polarizing plate using the optical film, and a liquid crystal display device. The optical film is characterized by containing an acrylic resin (A) and a cellulose ester resin (B), which are mixed at a mass ratio of from 50:50 to 95:5, and additionally containing a phosphorus additive selected from phosphinite, phosphonite and phosphite.
