Disclosed is a negative electrode comprising a negative plate, a negative lead and an alloy layer. In the negative electrode, the negative plate comprises a negative electrode current collector and a film-like negative active material layer comprising an alloy-type negative active material, the film-like negative active material layer is formed on the surface of the negative electrode current collector, the negative lead contains one metal or alloy selected from the group consisting of nickel, a nickel alloy, copper and a copper alloy, and the negative electrode current collector and the negative lead are connected to each other via the alloy layer. It becomes possible to provide a negative electrode utilizing an alloy-type negative active material, in which a negative electrode current collector and a negative lead are connected to each other efficiently and reliably and the conductivity between the negative electrode current collector and the negative lead is improved. The negative electrode has good current collecting properties and a high capacity. |
