Method for the recovery of noble metals |
abstract |
The invention relates to methods for the recovery of noble metals and can be used to recover noble metals from mineral raw materials containing chlorides of alkali and alkaline-earth metals, such as potash production slurries. The method involves removing excess chlorides and water from slurries containing noble metals and chlorides of alkali and alkaline-earth metals and then sending the slurries for drying and roasting at a temperature of 850–950°C, after which the cinder is leached with dilute hydrochloric acid solution. Noble metals are sorbed from the resultant pulp using a resin (such as AM–2B). |
