Method for producing shaped polyurethane foam wound dressings |
abstract |
The invention relates to a method for producing shaped articles. In said method, a pressure of > 0 bar to < 150 bar is applied to a foam layer in a first region at a temperature of > 0 °C to < 200 °C and during the application of said pressure, the foam layer is compressed in the first region to > 12.5% to < 100% of the original volume; a pressure of > 50 bar to < 150 bar is applied to a foam layer in a second region at a temperature of > 100 °C to < 200 °C and during the application of said pressure the foam layer is compressed in the second region to > 0% to < 12.5% of the original volume. The foam layer comprises a polyurethane foam in the first and second regions, said foam being obtained by the foaming and drying of a composition containing an aqueous, anionically hydrophilized polyurethane dispersion (I). The foam can be stabilised using ethylene oxide/propene oxide block copolymers. The invention also relates to shaped articles obtained using said method and to their use preferably as wound dressings. |
