titleOfInvention Pharmaceutical composition for nasal application
abstract The invention relates to a composition, in particular to a pharmaceutical preparation, particularly suitable for the prophylactic and/or curative treatment of dry nasal mucous membranes and/or rhinitis. The composition according to the invention comprises a combination of and pharmaceutically effective quantities of (a) ectoin and/or at least one ectoin derivative; and (b) pantothenol and/or at least one pantothenol derivative, particularly an ester, and/or pantothenic acid and/or the physiologically acceptable salts thereof. Due to a synergetic interaction of the ectoin component and the pantothene component, high effectivity with regard to dry nasal mucous membranes and to rhinitis is achieved for topical application of the pharmaceutical composition.
