abstract Disclosed is a sterilizing/antibacterializing device comprising an electrode (5) serving as an anode, and an electrode (4) having active oxygen species-forming ability and serving as a cathode. In the sterilizing/antibacterializing device, active oxygen species are generated by passing a current between the electrodes (4, 5), while interposing water to be processed between the electrodes. The electrode (5) serving as an anode is composed of a polymer material or mainly composed of a polymer material.
