abstract Disclosed is an infrared reflective black pigment which contains no harmful element and has excellent infrared reflectivity.nThe infrared reflective black pigment is composed of a complex oxide containing substantially no Cr, while containing at least Co, Mg, Fe, Al and Si.  The infrared reflective black pigment has a molar ratio Si/(Co + Mg + Fe + Al + Si) of 10-90%, an average particle diameter of 0.02-2.0 μm, a sunlight reflectance of 35-50%, and a reflectance for an infrared region wavelength of 1000 nm of more than 55%.
