abstract The present invention relates to a radionuclide-labeled form of erlotinib as well as methods for in vivo imaging of cells to detect the overexpression of epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase (EGFR-TK) in a subject suspected of having a cancerous condition by imaging the subject using positron emission tomography after sufficient time has been provided for the radionuclide-labeled form o erlotinib to bind to EGFR-TK sites in the body.
