abstract |
The present invention relates to a process for increasing the hydrolysis resistance of biodegradable polyesters based on aliphatic or aliphatic and aromatic dicarboxylic acids and on aliphatic dihydroxy compounds, or a mixture of these polyesters, characterized in that from 0.1 to 5% by weight of a copolymer containing epoxy groups and based on styrene, acrylate and/or methacrylate is admixed in the extruder at from 160 to 260°C with the biodegradable polyester. It further relates to a process for increasing melt viscosity and to a process for increasing the stability of the melt of biodegradable polyesters under shear. |
