A dot matrix type information display panel has a configuration in which a plurality of cells are regularly arranged in a display region. Each of the cells has a polygonal shape as a unit consisting of an even number of and at least six sides which serve as partitions and are connected to one another at right angles. With this configuration, when image information on the basis of lines, such as a character, is displayed, vertical and horizontal lines are hardly visible, and unlike in honeycomb-like partitions, each dot never loses its quadrangular shape and no interference fringe (moire) is generated. Thus, it is possible to provide the dot matrix type information display panel which can represent a sharp and natural image on the basis of lines, such as a character. |
