abstract The present invention relates to a method for electrochemically depositing a well-adhering, homogeneous polymeric layer coating of monomeric aniline and/or N- and/or ring alkyl substituted derivative of aniline onto surfaces of zinc, corrosion-protecting pre-treatment of a metallic surface, which is made up of zinc surfaces at least in areas, using the method for electrochemically depositing a well-adhering, homogeneous polymeric layer coating of the above mentioned monomers, and a metallic strip of a component pretreated for corrosion protection according to the method of the invention and the use thereof in chassis design in automobile manufacturing, ship building, in the construction industry and for the manufacture of white goods and electronic housings.
