titleOfInvention Method for optical determination of a measurement parameter of a measurement medium
abstract In a method for determining a measurement parameter of a measurement medium, wherein the measurement medium is brought into contact with an indicator or an indicator mixture having an absorption spectrum with a first and a second wavelength range that do not substantially overlap, a first light source (6) for emitting a first light signal at a wavelength in the first wavelength range and a second light source (7) for emitting a second light signal at a wavelength in the second wavelength range are excited. A first periodic signal is modulated onto the intensity of the first light signal and a second period signal is modulated onto the intensity of the second light signal, wherein at least a portion of the first light signal and a portion of the second light signal spread out as a first and a second measurement light signal, respectively, along a measurement path, and are converted on the measurement path to a modified measurement light signal by way of optical interactions with the indicator or the indicator mixture, and wherein an overall intensity of the converted first and second measurement light signals is detected, wherein the first periodic signal has a first phase difference relative to the second periodic signal. A second phase difference of the overall intensity of the modified first and second measurement light signals relative to the first or to the second periodic signal is determined, and the measurement parameter is determined using the second phase difference.
