abstract |
A controller (13) of an internal combustion engine with a variable valve gear, which comprises a variable valve gear mechanism (9) performing continuous variable control of the close timing and the working angle of an intake valve (7), a section (B60) for detecting a possibility of occurrence of pre-ignition, and a throttle (15) for controlling the amount of intake air, and which delays the close timing of the intake valve behind a bottom dead center by increasing the working angle of the intake valve when a possibility of occurrence of pre-ignition is detected, wherein provided are a section (B55) for calculating the upper limit limiting value of a working angle for limiting the upper limit value of the working angle of the intake valve, and a section (B61) for calculating the upper limit limiting value of a throttle opening for limiting the upper limit value of the throttle opening based on the working angle of the intake valve. |
