abstract Biocidal compounds have been synthesized and tested. These biocidal compounds have broad-spectrum efficacy and their biocidal properties are easily renewable. Illustrative examples of these biocidal compounds include N-halamine monomers and polymers and silver sulfadiazine polymers. These compounds can be used to add biocidal function to various materials and articles.
