abstract | The object aims to prevent the ring-opening of a cyclic siloxane oligomer and the contamination with a cyclic siloxane oligomer having a relatively low boiling point in the production of a siloxane-polyimide resin. Specifically, a siloxane-polyimide resin can be produced through the following steps (a) to (c): (a) carrying out the imidization reaction between a first tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and siloxane diamine in a solvent under reflux conditions to produce a reaction mixture containing a siloxane imide oligomer having an acid anhydride terminal or an amine terminal; (b) concentrating the reaction mixture under a reduced pressure to produce a reaction concentrate; and (c) adding a solvent and a non-siloxane-containing diamine to the reaction concentrate to cause the imidization reaction between the non-siloxane-containing diamine and the siloxane imide oligomer having an acid anhydride terminal contained in the reaction concentrate, or alternatively adding a solvent and a second tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride to the reaction concentrate to cause the imidization reaction between the second tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and the siloxane imide oligomer having an amine terminal contained in the reaction concentrate, thereby producing the siloxane-polyimide resin. |
