abstract The invention relates to a method for automatically splitting/dividing remote images into smaller rectangular images (micro-images/micro-parcels) and obtaining agronomic and environmental indicators in each image and in the entire parcel. The invention is based on processing high-spatial-resolution remote images using the SARIĀ® computer program and, for each micro-parcel, generating indicators such as geographical centre, surface area, potential productivity and presence of biotic factors such as stands of species of weeds and/or abiotic factors such as levels of nutrients/fertility. As such, the invention is suitable for use in the agricultural, environmental and remote sensing sectors and, in particular, in precision farming.
