titleOfInvention Analgesic anti-inflammatory preparation for external application
abstract Disclosed is a preparation for external application, which can exhibit the analgesic anti-inflammatory effect of a non-steroidal analgesic anti-inflammatory agent contained therein effectively, can reduce the irritation on an area on the skin to which the preparation is applied, and has an excellent effect on pain associated with an inflammation, such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and lumbago.  The preparation for external application is characterized by comprising the non-steroidal analgesic anti-inflammatory agent and oxybuprocaine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the non-steroidal analgesic anti-inflammatory agent is contained in an amount of 0.1 to 10 wt% and oxybuprocaine or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is contained in an amount of 0.01 to 60 wt%, both relative to the total weight of the preparation.  The preparation for external application may take the form of an ointment, a liquid, a suspension, an emulsion, a lotion, an adhesive skin patch, a tape, an aerosol, or a powder for external application.
