titleOfInvention | Method for improvement of octreotide bioavailability |
abstract | The invention provides a an octreotide sustained release delivery system for treatment of diseases ameliorated by octreotide compounds. The sustained release delivery system of the invention includes a flowable composition containing octreotide. Injection of the delivery system results in a biocompatible implant containing the octreotide. The flowable composition includes a poly(lactide-glycolide) copolymer compositions adapted for use in controlled release delivery systems, and exhibits favorable release kinetics for octreotide when implanted in patients. |
