abstract |
Provided is a surfactant composition for agricultural uses which has excellent emulsification, dispersion and penetration abilities as a surfactant for agricultural uses, shows little foaming properties and is excellent in stability at low temperatures. A surfactant composition for agricultural uses comprising a fatty acid polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether represented by the general formula (I) which has a narrow ratio, whereby the addition mole number distribution of polyoxyalkylene groups is specified, of 55% by mass or more: R 1 CO(EO) m (PO) n OR 2 (I) wherein R 1 CO represents a saturated or unsaturated fatty acid residue having 14 to 22 carbon atoms; R 2 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms; m and n represent average addition mole numbers and m is an integer of from 2 to 10 while n is an integer of from 1 to 4; EO represents an ethylene oxide structural unit; and PO represents a propylene oxide structural unit, provided that EO and PO are added by block-polymerization. |
