abstract The invention relates to a laminate, the top layer thereof comprising a paper impregnated with an aminoplast resin and surface-modified silica nanoparticles. According to the invention, the surface-modified silica nanoparticles comprise at least one silane on the surfaces thereof, said silane carrying at least one functional group. The invention further relates to method for the production of a laminate of said type.
