Yeast for production of glucose, and method for production of glucose using the same |
abstract |
Disclosed is an yeast strain having both a cellulose-decomposing ability which is an ability to decompose a cellulose outside of the cell wall thereof and a glucose-accumulating ability which is an ability to accumulate glucose (which is produced from a cellulose by the action of the cellulose-decomposing ability thereof when the yeast strain is contacted with the cellulose in a reaction solution) in the reaction solution. Also disclosed is a glucose production method for producing glucose from a cellulose, which comprises the steps of: contacting the yeast strain with the cellulose in a reaction solution; and separating/collecting glucose (which is accumulated in the reaction solution when the yeast strain is contacted with the cellulose) from the reaction solution. |
