Devices, systems, and methods are sized and configured for joining body conduits, desirably without the use of tissue-penetrating fasteners. The device comprises a connector structure that is sized and configured to be surgically inserted between the separated ends of two body conduits. The connector structure includes a first end for insertion into a first body conduit, a second end for insertion into a second body conduit, and an intermediate region between the first and second ends for establishing a connection site between the first and second end. Said connection site creates a patent lumen between the first and second body conduits while tissue healing occurs. Method for inserting the connector structure within the body lumen is also disclosed. |
