abstract | An organic EL element manufacturing method is a method for manufacturing an organic electroluminescence element formed by stacking at least a cathode, an anode, and an organic light-emitting layer located between the cathode and the anode, which is characterized by comprising an organic light-emitting layer forming step of forming the organic light-emitting layer by applying organic light-emitting ink containing an organic light-emitting material and a solvent to a light-emitting layer forming region in which the organic light-emitting layer is formed by using a relief printing plate provided with a projecting portion having a shape corresponding to the light-emitting layer forming region, wherein the projecting portion is provided with plural recessed grooves in the surface thereof. The manufacturing method enables prevention of uneven application when the organic light-emitting ink is applied to the organic light-emitting layer forming region with a large area by a relief printing method and formation of the organic light-emitting layer with a uniform thickness. |
