titleOfInvention Stainless steel for use in oil well tube
abstract Disclosed is a stainless steel for an oil well tube, which comprises the following components (by mass): C: 0.001 to 0.05%, Si: 0.05 to 1%, Mn: 2% or less, P: 0.03% or less, S: less than 0.002%, Cr: 16 to 18%, Ni: 3.5 to 7%, Mo: more than 2% and not more than 4%, Cu: 1.5 to 4%, a rare earth metal: 0.001 to 0.3%, sol.Al: 0.001 to 0.1%, Ca: 0.0001 to 0.01%, O: 0.05% or less, and N: 0.05% or less, with the remainder being Fe and impurities. The stainless steel contains a REM, and therefore can exhibit excellent SCC resistance even in an aqueous chloride solution having a high temperature.
