titleOfInvention Process for producing low alkali glass containers
abstract Provided is a process for producing glass containers wherein elution of alkaline constituents from the inside surface of the glass is reduced. This process for producing low alkali glass containers includes the following steps: (1) a step of producing a glass container wherein a glass container is obtained by hot moulding of a glass tube, (2) a cleaning step wherein the inside surface of the glass container obtained in the step of producing a glass container is cleaned with a cleaning solution comprising water, an aqueous acid solution or an aqueous solution of a surfactant, and (3) an annealing step in which the glass container cleaned in the cleaning step is subjected to annealing by heating and then cooling.
