abstract A freezing device (1) uses as a coolant, a chemical compound expressed by a molecular formula C 3 H m F n (wherein m = 1 to 5, n = 1 to 5, and m + n = 6). The freezing device (1) employs a compressor having a first compression mechanism (20A) and a second compression mechanism (20B) which are arranged in a casing (11) so as to prevent decomposition of the coolant by increase of the discharge temperature of the compressor (10) which performs a coolant compression step in a freezing cycle.
