The present invention relates to the use of a polymer dispersion (PD) containing at least one polymer (P) obtained through radical emulsion polymerization of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer (M1) and at least one monomer (M2) different therefrom selected from among the esters of phosphonic acid or phosphoric acid, alternatively with alkoxylated hydroxyalkyl (meth)actylates and at least one emulsifier (E) selected from the phosphoric acid esters, alternatively with alkoxylated C 8 -C 30 alcohols and salts thereof, in coating agents for improving the abrasion resistance of coatings produced therefrom and/or for improving the polishing resistance of the coatings produced therefrom and/or for improving the stain resistance of the coatings produced therefrom and/or for improving the pigment distribution in the coatings produced therefrom and/or for reducing the emissions of volatile organic compounds from the coatings produced therefrom, polymer dispersions used according to the invention, and coating agents containing the polymer dispersions according to the invention. |
