An anti-skid device (1) for motor vehicle wheels has a belt (4) which bears, in the mounted state, on the tread (19) of the respective tyre. Securing means, which have the function of securing the belt (4) to the wheel in the axial direction, are provided on the edges of the belt. The belt (4) itself is not of continuous design but is intersected. In the mounted state, an overlapping region (15, 16), in which a planar closure (17) is arranged, is produced in order to hold the overlapping end regions (15, 16) of the belt (4) together. |
