Disclosed is a nonaqueous electrolyte solution which enables formation of a nonaqueous electrolyte battery having high capacity and excellent storage characteristics at high temperatures, while sufficiently enhancing safety at the time of overcharge. A nonaqueous electrolyte battery produced by using the nonaqueous electrolyte solution is also disclosed. The nonaqueous electrolyte contains an electrolyte and a nonaqueous solvent, while additionally containing a compound represented by general formula (1) and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of cyclic carbonates having a C=C unsaturated bond, cyclic carbonates havinga fluorine atom, monofluorophosphates and difluorophosphates. (In general formula (1), R 1 represents an alkyl group having 1-12 carbon atoms, which may have at least one of a halogen atom or a phenyl group; and R 2 -R 6 independently represent a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom.) |
