Disclosed is an organic electroluminescent device material, which is characterized by being composed of a compound represented by general formula [1]. (In the formula, Ar1 and Ar2 independently represent a substituted or unsubstituted divalent aromatic hydrocarbon group or a substituted or unsubstituted divalent aromatic heterocyclic group; Ar3 represents a substituted or unsubstituted fused aromatic hydrocarbon group or a substituted or unsubstituted fused aromatic heterocyclic group; Ar4 represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon group or a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic heterocyclic group; X represents S, O or N-Ar5 (wherein Ar5 represents a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon group or a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic heterocyclic group); and R1 and R2 independently represent a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon group, a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic heterocyclic group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group. In this connection, R1 and R2 may combine together to form a ring.) |
