abstract |
A print medium for ink-jet printing comprises a photobase substrate, a porous ink- receiving layer and a subbing layer. The photobase substrate can include paper and a moisture barrier layer coated on at least one side of the paper. The porous ink-receiving layer can include metal oxide or semi-metal oxide particulates treated with an organosilane reagent and aluminum chlorohydrate, and a polyvinyl alcohol binder. The subbing layer can be disposed between the moisture barrier layer of the photobase and the ink-receiving layer and include a polyvinyl alcohol or a copolymer of polyvinyl alcohol. |
