abstract |
Disclosed is a compound having a structure analogous to a firefly luciferin. More specifically disclosed is a heterocyclic compound which can emit light at a wavelength different from a wavelength at which natural firefly luciferin can emit light. The heterocyclic compound is represented by general formula (I). In the general formula, R1, R2 and R3 independently represent H or a C1-4 alkyl; X and Y independently represent C, N, S or O; and the length of the olefin chain moiety represented by "n" may be altered to a desired length. |
