Positive electrode for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery |
abstract |
Disclosed is a positive electrode for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary batteries, which contains, as a positive electrode active material, a first Li-containing transition metal complex oxide as a main component, and a second Li-containing transition metal complex oxide as a sub-component. As the second Li-containing transition metal complex oxide, there is used Li(LixMn2xCo1-3x)O2 (wherein 0 < x < 3). It is preferable that the blending amount of the first Li-containing transition metal complex oxide relative to the total amount of the first and second Li-containing transition metal complex oxides is not less than 50% by weight but not more than 99% by weight, while the blending amount of the second Li-containing transition metal complex oxide relative to the total amount is not less than 1% by weight but less than 50% by weight. |
