Disclosed is a composite material for positive electrode of lithium battery, wherein a diffusion path for Li is sufficiently secured and electrical conductivity is high. This composite material for positive electrode of lithium battery enables to obtain a lithium battery having excellent high-rate discharge characteristics. Also disclosed are a method for producing such a composite material for positive electrode of lithium battery, a positive electrode using such a composite material for positive electrode of lithium battery, and a battery. Specifically disclosed is a composite material for positive electrode of lithium battery, which is composed of composite particles containing positive electrode active material particles and a fibrous carbon. The composite particles are in a form wherein the positive electrode active material particles are supported by the fibrous carbon. |
