A filter element comprises a top frame member (10), a bottom frame member (11) and a pleated filter assembly (12), received in respective channel sectioned formers (16, 17) comprised by said top and bottom frame members. The formers (16, 17) are integrally bonded with a polyurethane resin core (18, 19) formed in the formers. A mould may include a core member (26) or projections (32) which maintain air passages (42) during moulding, and serve to locate the pleats (37) of the filter element in relation to the air passages. |
