It is intended to provide a method of accurately and simply detecting a compound represented by the formula (I) in a human sample. For producing an antibody which recognizes a compound represented by the formula (I) and shows no cross-reaction with metabolites thereof, an N-oxide form of the compound represented by the formula (I) and desmethyl-levofloxacin, an antigen obtained by attaching bovine serum albumin to the carboxy group at position 6 of the compound represented by the formula (I) was used.
