abstract |
The invention relates to a device for contactless communication between a surgical apparatus and at least one surgical instrument or similar accessory that can be used with said surgical apparatus. The surgical apparatus comprises a control and evaluation device with which at least one writing and/or reading device is associated that is connected to an antenna for the apparatus. At least one writable and readable memory device which is particularly designed as an RFID transponder is associated with the instrument. Said at least one memory device is connected to an antenna for the instrument such that data between the writing and/or reading device of the surgical apparatus and the memory device of the instrument can be exchanged using wireless communication. The instrument encompasses a measuring and/or actuating device which is associated with the memory device and is designed to influence the memory device in such a way that at least one parameter can be acquired on and/or in the instrument and/or on a tissue to be treated in order to be transmitted to the surgical apparatus, and/or data for influencing the function of the instrument can be transmitted from the surgical apparatus to the instrument. The invention further relates to the use of a writable and readable memory device in a surgical instrument. |
