Disclosed herein are a transgenic cat expressing red fluorescent protein and a production method thereof. When the production method is used, cats introduced with the red fluorescent protein gene can be produced with high efficiency, and the production method is useful for the production of genetically designed "modified pets". Also, the transgenic cat expressing red fluorescent protein is useful as a clinical model for treating human disease. Moreover, disclosed are a transgenic cat expressing red fluorescent protein, produced by the method, and its offspring. In addition, disclosed is a cell isolated from the transgenic cat expressing red fluorescent protein and its offspring. |
