titleOfInvention An assay system for transforming growth factor-beta and smad activity and its application
abstract The present invention relates to an assay system for quantifying Smad activity using a cell line that expresses a Smad transcriptional activity-dependent reporter gene, and the uses thereof, more particularly, an expression vector comprising i) a DNA fragment having repeating SBEs (Smad Binding Element), ii) a lucif erase gene as a transcription reporter, and iii) a selection marker gene; a transfectant transfected with the expression vector; and a method of screening anti-fibrotic agents, anti-cancer agents, or anti-inflammatory agents using the transfectant.
